I bought mine from MRC Sleep & Snore (Richmond Hill -Hwy7 & Leslie), and their service is top notch. My knowledge ends with OSA, not central or other more complicated sleep disorders. This is more e cpap talk forum for better advice. If you need to deal with central apneas, your machine is typically more complex and expensive. A standard APAP package with unit, tubing and mask is usually around $900+ online. The other option once you know your prescribed machine (ask for and buy an auto unit.Resmed or Philips Respironics are the best top tier level brands) and a mask you are comfortable with, you can buy everything online (most require a prescription for a machine except cpapmachines.ca ). If you are fully covered by insurance (small or no deductible), you could put the $200 fee towards the purchase of a CPAP/APAP unit with humidifier, heated tubing and a mask at a typical inflated price. Here in Alberta, this would have cost me $200 for a 3 week trial. ![]() Once the results are interpreted and a machine is prescribed, you can rent the machine and try as many masks as possible during this trial. So for best results as a first time user is to go through a dealer that way I can get the proper fitting then. I just did the sleep study a few nights ago where I took home the device and slept with it on.
